Crewman on bridge of USS Jouett (DD-396)

Here we see Torpedoman 1st Class Fred Parmientar at his station on the bridge of the Somers class destroyers USS Jouett (DD-396) in May 1942, waiting for the order to drop depth charges. His corner of the bridge is fairly cluttered, with a signal lamp and AA machine gun to hsi right, and what appears to be a telescope to his left.
