A team of Asian paleontologists has discovered a new species of dinosaur, Corythoraptor jacobsi, which has a crest on its skull very similar to the helmet of cassowaries, a flightless bird from the rainforests of New Guinea and Australia. Scientific Reports magazine describes this species of oviraptor - a genus of the Oviraptoridae family that lived at the end of the Cretaceous period - from a specimen found in the province of Jiangxi, China.
